Update Oregon and Preview of Coming Blogs

Moving is still in progress.  It takes forever to recapture the simple comforts that we take for granted before moving.  A woman friend who moved recently told me it takes "a long time to get comfortable again".  Since she's a Republican I thought she was exaggerating.  But she wasn't.

Thus no new blogs yet.  Have to wait for the "comfortable" old desk chair to get here so I can type without pain.  I'm told it will be a week to ten days.  (I've been told so many things in this move!)

But here's what's coming along with that chair, both as to news breaking and blogs:

-----Five year old white boy says, 'I'm glad I'm not white!' "

-----We shall still overcome.

-----What about Syria?  And the railroads to Auschwitz?

-----Smokey Robinson and Abraham, Martin, Bobby and John.  And Ted too.

-----This isn't heaven. This is Oregon.

Hope you're all well and happy.  Stay that way.  Don't move!

I'm Back & Hey Ho from Oregon!

I'm back but not quite yet as a blogger.  When you're 77 years old and semi-crippled, moving 2800 miles is a big job.  And it's not quite finished yet.  In fact, If Comcast had it's way,  it would never be finished.

You know what's wrong with American business?  American business!

But we'll say no more of that!  Instead I'll keep trying to pull things together here so that I can give you some more of the blither and blather, as the Irish call it.   Or one-sided schmooze.

So be cool.  Stay out of trouble.  And I'll write again when my chair arrives.  This is the best I can do standing up!

Ta ta!

Time Out For Wagon Train West

I'll be gone from this blog for about two or three weeks.  Moving to Oregon!  Need every minute to pack, move, and set up the computer again.

It will be quite a change, moving from a red, red area of Central Pennsylvania to a lovely small town twenty-five miles from quite-blue-thank-you Portland.  It will, in short, be wonderful!

You remember I was off-line for much longer last fall.  About six weeks.  And you stuck by me!  That was one of the sweetest thing that ever happened to me.   I sure hope you stick by me again for what should be a much shorter time.

By then we'll be headed into the GOP's wildly reckless drama "Debt Ceiling Denial".  Will they destroy America?  Will they destroy themselves?  And how will Hero Obama rescue us this time?  Lots to write about and lots to think about.  So start thinking, pals!

Please wish me luck on the long trek west (six hours).  And meantime I wish you all the best!

Till then.....
